West Australian Technical Support in Schools Association

About WATSSA

WATSSA Vision

The West Australian Technical Support in Schools Association is committed to promoting professional development and networking opportunities for school-based technical support staff.  Our aim is to build strong working relationships with government and private schools, the Department of Education, and third-party enterprises, while elevating the expertise and professional profile of the industry.

At WATSSA, we are dedicated to fostering an innovative culture of learning, fellowship and collaboration within the school-based technical support community.  We believe in liaising with all stakeholders in a professional manner, with the goal of achieving beneficial outcomes for our members and the schools and students they support.

WATSSA was created for the following reasons

  • To enhance the professional expertise and status of school based technical support staff, and the quality of network administration and management in WA schools.
  • To create a fellowship of those engaged as technicians, which will foster advancement in management, thought and practice.
  • To set before itself and the community the ethics of high professional responsibility and provide a catalyst for workplace enhancement.
  • To organise and conduct regular meetings, conferences, forums and seminars for the advancement and professional development of members.
  • To promote collaborative relationships with The Department of Education and other professional associations.

We would like to offer a big thank you to everyone out there who has supported the creation of WATSSA. Your support has made a huge difference and has really helped to propel us forward.
